Bonfire Night 2026 - Rochdale

Bonfire Night 2026 - Rochdale

As Bonfire Night approaches, the local Neighbourhood Policing Team will be carrying out high visibility patrols across Wardleworth, Milkstone & Deeplish, working alongside partner agencies to help keep our communities safe and tackle anti-social behaviour linked to fireworks, bonfires and deliberate fires.

Your Local Rochdale Event is on Cronkeyshaw Common, Syke - Wednesday 4 November 2026 (6pm-10pm, bonfire lit at 7pm, fireworks at 7:30pm).

We would encourage you to:

• Attend organised displays where possible rather than unofficial gatherings.

• Never throw fireworks, aim them at people, vehicles or buildings.

• Keep fireworks away from parks, alleyways, ginnels, wheelie bins and other areas where fires can spread.

• Ensure children are supervised and understand the dangers of fireworks.

• Respect neighbours, particularly elderly residents, families with young children and pet owners.

• Report anti social behaviour, deliberate fires, criminal damage or dangerous use of fireworks.

We want everyone to enjoy Bonfire Night safely. If you witness anti-social behaviour or criminal activity, please report it via 101 or 999 in an emergency.

Together, we can help ensure Bonfire Night is enjoyable for all whilst keeping our neighbourhoods safe.
